Amager (pronounced "Ama") is the most populated island of Denmark. It includes popular areas like Islands Brygge, Christianshavn, Ørestad, Tårnby and Dragør. Amager has seen a big development recently with modern housing facilities and new little unique shops and cafes. It offers large green areas such as Amager Fælles and its beach and canals are the preferred summer spots of Copenhageners. Walk from the City Hall towards the Islands Brygge canals or take the metro or the bus to discover lively streets like Amagerbrogade and Holmbladsgade in order to find creative little shops with Vintage fashion and interior design.
